At Barnbury, we offer a full-spectrum, hands-on interior design service tailored to both residential and commercial spaces. Whether designing a complete home or refining a single room, our approach is rooted in the seamless blend of form and function. We take the time to understand how our clients live and work, ensuring each space not only looks beautiful but also feels intuitive, welcoming, and distinctly personal.

We also provide specialist services such as sourcing unique furniture and antiques, as well as designing and making bespoke curtains, blinds, and soft furnishings.
Working across the Cotswolds, London and beyond, we collaborate with a trusted network of talented craftspeople, makers, and suppliers. Our team oversees every detail—from initial concept to final installation—so our clients can relax, knowing their project is in expert hands.
Whether you're redesigning an entire property or refreshing a single space, Barnbury offers flexible design services tailored to your needs. We work on a full-project basis or by the hour—depending on the scope, style, and level of involvement you're looking for.

Barnbury was founded in 2014 by design duo Jonathan Sellwood and Jonathan Parkin, who bring over three decades of experience in interior design. Working from studios in both the Cotswolds and central London, they offer a distinctive, design-led approach grounded in creativity, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.
Jonathan Parkin launched his own interior design studio in London in 2002, following an early career at the prestigious Design Centre Chelsea Harbour. In 2006, he relocated to Cheltenham, where he partnered with Jonathan Sellwood to create Thirty Two—a boutique hotel with an in-house design service. His recent work includes the interiors of a luxury Cotswold hotel, a London townhouse, and a modern countryside manor.
Jonathan Sellwood was the face of Thirty Two, which was named one of the world’s top five boutique hotels by luxury travel experts Mr & Mrs Smith. Before that, he ran one of London’s most exclusive fabric houses, building deep knowledge of textiles and bespoke soft furnishings. His recent projects include a grand Cotswold manor and an apartment in Belgravia.
