Our Story

The concept was founded by design duo Jonathan Sellwood and Jonathan Parkin, who combined their creative talent to curate a hand-picked selection of lighting, furniture, wallpapers, fabrics, tableware, home fragrance and gifts, sourced from all over the world. 

Barnbury visitors can expect to discover a range of brands including William Yeoward Crystal, Mulberry fabrics, Cole & Son wallpaper and home fragrances by Cire Trudon and Dr Vranjes, while the collection of sofas and chairs are custom-made in the Cotswolds. 

For those looking to stock up on luxurious treats for the home or find inspiration for decadent gifts, the online shop offers an emporium of ideas from luxe Fornasetti candles to stunning glassware.

Our Story

Jonathan Parkin - Interior Designer

Jonathan Parkin established his own interior design company in London in 2002. Prior to that he worked at Design Centre Chelsea Harbour. Jonathan moved to Cheltenham in 2006 and along with Jonathan Sellwood created Thirty Two, a boutique hotel with in-house design service. Recent projects include a Cornish barn conversion, a Regency townhouse and a contemporary Cotswold manor.

In recent years Jonathan Sellwood was the face of Thirty Two in Cheltenham. The hotel was voted one of the top 5 boutique hotels in the world by the luxury travel experts Mr & Mrs Smith. Prior to starting Thirty Two Jonathan ran one of London’s most exclusive fabric houses. Recent design projects include The Abbey Hotel in Bath and Lumiere restaurant in Cheltenham.
